Rule 6: Floral Flair
All though our beloved Spring is coming to an end, this statement will either be a woe or joy to you depending on how badly your sinuses reacted to this season; as someone who suffers from Hay fever, I say good riddance to Spring and bring on summer however can we please keep the florals? I mean the printed ones on garments not the actual flowers (blows nose). Seriously floral prints will be a trend that spans both Seasons this year, we love the variation of colour and sizes when it comes to floral prints especially cool dresses and blouses. Whenever you are prepared to rock floral prints in your outfit you must be modest when styling it as a floral printed dress or blouses are statement pieces on their own so take it easy on accessories and style them with neutral garments if you are wearing a blouse or shirt.

Rule 7: Sneaker Game
You have to be living under a rock if you are unaware of the influence that sneakers have over the fashion 
industry and culture, I mean its no longer “hey girl, how are you doing?” no its “hey girl how is your sneaker game looking these days?” and for good reason. Whether you are rocking OG Air Force Ones, chilling in your Chuck Taylors or hitting the mall with your LV Archlight Sneakers (do they count as sneakers though? hey I plead the fifth, do you girl)! Although you might associate the closed feet aesthetic for Winter or Autumn, come on, we both know it’s just a myth, sneakers are made for summer they are the perfect companion for denim skirts, athleisure and biker shorts, you need a shoe that will keep up with all the summer activities you have planned and there is no better shoe than sneakers

Rule 8: Handbag Galore
Luckily this trend is not one that can easily fall from Fashion’s Grace as you can literally never leave the house without your beloved handbag (that is a travesty all on its own). Whether you prefer sling bags, fanny packs, designer bags, shoulder bags or the illustrious handbag; this item is guaranteed to make a statement this Summer> Although you clearly have a variety of bags to choose from a particular trend in fashion specifically summer is no doubt the shoulder bag, the best thing about a shoulder bag it couples as a statement piece as well as your personal trove of summer memories (see what I did there?) which is good for all those unplanned events in Summer

Rule 9: Denim on Denim
If there is one fashion trend that will span human evolution it will be Denim, since its invention in 1873 by 
Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss, Denim has taken on new forms from the beginning of denim jeans you can get denim in pretty much any garment from jackets, shoes, tops, dresses and even accessories. A defining look this summer will be denim on denim, I know there is a lot of controversy around this trend but hear me out! Denim on Denim does not necessarily suggest an entire outfit must be denim its simply all about taking a few elements from the denim section for example you can style a denim skirt or shorts with a simple white tee and a denim bag or earrings embellished with denim. After all too much of a good thing can be bad for you!

Rule 10: Trendy Face masks:
Although we may all have different opinions on vaccines however, we all have the same mandate to protect ourselves this Summer and the obvious case for protection are Face masks, but they don’t have to be your standard medical blue mask (you know what I am talking about) why don’t you try customising your mask if you are protecting yourself, you might as well look good doing it. You can try incorporating a sleek black mask when you are going out as black goes well with any style, outfit or colour. We also find that masks with patterns are also a good fit consider one with a floral flare which will make a great statement for summer.
